OH NO!!!! NO SCOTT TV??????
Well, um, I didn't shoot a video because I was writing a letter to my church and I was writing the letter to my church because I procrastinated and wrote it when I normally make the video. But here is a copy of that letter.
Dear Church Family,
Greetings! I actually worked up the nerve to take another trip to El Fuerte. It went great, with no break downs or anything. Thanks be to God. Also a good thing because the ice cream in my backpack probably would have melted. Our motorcycle did have some troubles to fix before I trusted it though. But that is another story.
The well drilling rig started a job. But, the cable started unraveling because it was worn. So, Lenn needed some help to rig a new cable on the machine. So, Johan and I rode the moto out to the site. On the way back the rear wheel started wobbling and we found 16 broken spokes. So, I rode it slowly home and it was out of commission for few days until we replaced them. Good thing we didn't have an accident.
We have finished planting the sesame and started weeding. So, that pretty much keeps the boys busy and occupied. In some places the sesame is 6 inches high and it grows to about five feet. Weeding will keep us busy for the next couple months and then it is harvest time.
I was sick a few weeks ago. I felt terrible, I had diarrhea and threw up once. I woke up Monday morning sick, felt better on Tuesday and was back to work on Wednesday. Not sure what caused it, because no one else got sick.
In other news. Tricia wrecked the a motorcycled that Lenn bought for the ladies to use. Since she did it on my day off. I didn't get the scoop on that so, here is an excerpt from her blog. "I should have stayed in bed. I didn't feel good in the morning. By the time I arrived at the orphanage on bike, I could hardly breathe. Debbie kindly offered to take me home, but I stubbornly started with laundry instead. I was ready to start the machines, but discovered that the electricity was off. "Perfect time to test drive the moto," I thought, not-so-brightly. (Most of you probably know what's coming.) On my second round, I got off the road enough to tip the poor little motor scooter over and send my face into the gravel. I'm still not sure what happened... I'm missing 3-4 minutes of my memory. But, some things are very clear: my mild concussion, my purple eye, my scraped face, elbow, foot, and hands, my aching bruises, etc. Rhonda and Ian, with the help of a driver I'm not sure I even thanked, got me and the moto back to the house. I didn't feel any pain, even when I saw my bloody face. But I remember trying to spit the gravel out of my mouth. Debbie and Rhonda had to cope with my blabbering away while they cleaned me up." So, there you go. Oh, yeah and the moto was fine except for some cosmetic damage. If you were wondering.
In bug news, something got me on the neck. I didn't notice anything strange. I just all of a sudden had some blisters on my neck and I really didn't know want happened. The blister popped and were replaced by scabs and people asked me what happened and I didn't know. Then Lenn told me about a bug that if irritated it will spray an acidic spray with causes blisters. So, that's must be what happened. Some bug peed on me while I was sleeping. Outrageous! Luckily it didn't itch. But, we have plenty of other bugs that cause that.
Well, Thanks for listening, for your prays and your support. God Bless.
A video may be coming on Monday.

A letter to my church.
Hello, Everyone! I have successfully moved into the orphanage and have adjusted fine to life here. My duties are taking care of the boys when Sam and Johan are off or busy, helping the handicap boy with exercises, and doing laundry. We have Church on Sunday afternoons. Prayer meeting on Wednesday evening and Sunday school for the children Saturday morning. The boys are somewhat well behaved. But, sometimes they need discipline more than a point on the misbehaving chart. I haven't had to spank anyone, but I have been a witness. Two adults need to be present to make sure not abuse occurs. Not a fun part of the job, if you know what I mean.
In other news. I have been called the "Card King" here, because I get so many cards. Thank you for those. Thank you for the emails and the support as well.
We had a retreat here for the whole BMA team. It started on Tuesday and went until Friday morning. We hiked up a mountain near here. Had a track and field day. Went out-to-eat three times. And just pretty much had a change of schedule for a few days.
Johan is on a two week vacation right now. So, he missed the retreat. But, I'm sure he didn't mind since he was at home. He will be returning on the 24th.
Dean Martin came down to visit. He arrived on Monday the 16th and left Friday morning on the train for Chihuahua. He will be will be helping Adam Sensenig with his house over there, like I had. It was nice to had him stop by. Though he didn't really see how life normally is here since he came during the retreat. Thanks to the people who sent gifts with him.
I don't have any cockroach stories because I haven't seen any here. But, what we do have is daddy-long-leggers. They are annoying because they are everywhere and they sit in big piles sometimes. Which makes them easy to spray with bug spray. Not as lively as cockroaches, but still as fun to kill.
Thanks for everything.
Later and God Bless
